Canadian permanent residents may apply for a Canadian Permanent Resident Card at any time after landing in Canada. This card confirms their status as a permanent resident of Canada.
PR card needs to be valid. If the card expires, a new one should be applied for. You are still a permanent resident if your card expires.

- Have permanent resident status
- Live in Canada for at least 730 days in the past 5 years
- Submit your application in Canada
